A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its growing team. This role requires a dedicated legal professional who will passionately represent clients in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and other sensitive issues. Duties
- Client Representation: Advocate for clients in court for cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and domestic violence.
- Legal Document Creation: Draft pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and contracts for a high volume of cases.
- Case Management: Oversee the division of marital assets, including real estate, in divorce proceedings.
- Client Consultation: Assess clients' needs, analyze cases, strategize, and make informed decisions for effective legal solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with senior partners and paralegals to efficiently progress through the civil litigation process.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law as a trial attorney in Georgia.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to advocate successfully for both plaintiffs and defendants.
- Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with Georgia's Uniform Superior Court Rules, OCGA, rules of evidence, and courtroom procedures.
- Client and Case Management: Skilled in handling sensitive legal issues, managing clients and cases, and drafting essential family law documents.
Education
- Juris Doctor (.) degree required
- A bachelor's degree with a legal background preferred
Certifications
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia
