Assistant County Attorney
The candidate will work with law enforcement to support the investigation of criminal cases and prosecuting criminal cases in both the 5th Circuit-District Divisions and Sullivan Superior Court. Work closely with the Office of Victim Witness Coordinator to ensure that all victims/witnesses are properly informed, prepared for hearings, and supported throughout the pendency of the criminal process. Provide advice and guidance to local law enforcement during non-office hours. Act as counsel for the State at hearings and addresses post-trial/conviction motions. Prepare and present investigations and cases to the Grand Jury. Communicate with news media when appropriate. Should have a degree in jurisprudence from a law school, be registered to practice law under the laws of the State of New Hampshire, maintain current membership in the New Hampshire Bar Association, and have 3-5 years prior experience in law enforcement or the criminal justice system.
