The candidate should have Juris Doctorate; graduate of an accredited law school required. 12+ years of prior related legal experience required. In particular, the candidate needs a good grounding in primary Property & Casualty insurance products, e.g., CGL, Property, D&O, Cyber, Auto, Umbrella and Excess, and Workers’ Comp; prior experience in OFAC and economic and trade sanctions issues, including screening for prohibited parties; and a strong familiarity with US insurance regulatory issues, including those pertaining to Risk Control, non-admitted insurance, and the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act. Previous direct management experience required. 15+ years of prior related legal experience preferred. Must demonstrates strong lawyering skills. Accurately assesses the degree of legal risk and opportunity in a given situation. While understanding business goals, exercises independent judgment in providing advice and strategic recommendations. Should have knowledge of Law: Possesses good understanding of property and casualty insurance coverages, risk control services and issues, economic and trade sanctions laws and requirements, and US insurance regulatory law. Identifies issues; appreciates interaction between facts and the law; grasps legal complexities. Effectively and accurately researches legal issues. Understands potential exposure, settlement value, corporate risk and opportunity; understands needs and goals of participants; marshals facts and law; uses creativity in developing effective strategy and persuasively presenting the position; and demonstrates flexibility to achieve an appropriate resolution. Demonstrates excellence in the provision of legal counsel and advice. Earns trust, confidence, and respect through consistent performance; fosters open and honest communication; shares with department significant court decisions and/or litigation trends; candidly offers ideas, thoughtful feedback and a reasoned point of view. When appropriate, challenges assumptions. Acts with integrity; takes appropriate risks. Must ensures that staff uses, leverages, and maintains proficiency with corporate and job-related technology as it evolves (e.g. hardware, software, business unit applications, and systems tools.)

Remind people that socializing is optional and keep people from stressing from it too much but also encourage those that want to join in to do so.

Pros : Not only is everyone here paid fairly but everyone just seems to get along and is fairly relaxed. It would be in character for most people to say hello outside of work and just chat.
Cons : Some people may hate the forced feeling of interacting with co-workers outside of normal work hours if they have a hard time with dealing with people.
