Labor and Employment Attorney The candidate will provide representation and counsel to member organizations in all areas of labor relations including labor arbitration, collective bargaining, NLRB proceedings, grievance administration, contract interpretation, and organizing campaigns. Will provide advice and counsel to member organizations concerning employment-related issues, including employee relations, wage and hour, EEO laws (ADEA, ADA, Title VII, FMLA, etc.), unemployment, WARN, employment contracts. Represent member organizations in defense of administrative charges before state and federal agencies, including NLRB, Department of Labor, EEOC, etc. Day-to-day employment and labor counsel including general legal compliance, handbook policy review, discipline, termination and best practices. JD degree from an accredited law school is required. Should have 3+ years of legal experience, including both labor and employment law, with an emphasis on labor law including negotiations, arbitrations and grievance handling. Experience handling labor and employment law disputes, including mediation, administrative hearings, arbitration, and/or trials are needed. Excellent judgement and the ability to analyze problems, propose resolutions, and provide advice taking into account the needs of the member organization is needed. Excellent oral and written communications skills are essential. Experience demonstrating ability to multi-task and manage varied caseload is needed. Colorado Bar membership or admitted to Colorado Bar within 12 months.
