# Senior Counsel- Trademarks ## Job Summary Kraft Heinz is looking for an experienced Senior Counsel- Trademarks to join their global team. This position provides strategic and practical advice to global business and legal partners regarding the management and coordination of Kraft Heinz’s extensive global trademark matters. The Senior Counsel- Trademarks will be responsible for leading all aspects of the prosecution- maintenance- and protection of the Company’s global trademarks; drafting and negotiating trademark agreements with third parties; selecting and leading outside counsel; handling budgets; counseling clients on trademark matters; and assisting with intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions. ## Job Responsibilities The Senior Counsel- Trademarks will be responsible for: * Coordinating selection- prosecution and maintenance of global trademarks- including analyzing trademark searches- drafting availability opinions- and advising business partners on related risks and opportunities; preparing and filing new trademark applications; prosecuting trademark applications; and filing renewals. * Overseeing the protection of the Company’s global trademarks- including through trademark oppositions- cancellations- and litigation. * Drafting and negotiating various trademark agreements- including licenses and assignments. * Providing strategic trademark advice to global business and legal colleagues. * Managing outside counsel- including budgets and spend. * Acting as a people manager responsible for supervising the department’s trademark paralegals and docket clerk. * Performing other duties as assigned by Deputy General Counsel for Litigation & Intellectual Property. ## Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Senior Counsel- Trademarks position will have: * A with substantial experience in leading trademark prosecution matters- particularly involving global trademark portfolios with a reputable law firm and/or as in-house counsel. * Excellent business judgment with the ability to provide sound legal advice. * Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize- simplify- coordinate and satisfy numerous challenging demands. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a self-starter who can meet deadlines and balance challenging priorities while maintaining a commitment to professionalism and integrity. * Superior logic- reasoning- and problem-solving skills- and able to work in a collaborative environment. * The ability to provide strategic advice and solutions to senior business and legal leaders. * Prior experience in the food or consumer products spaces (preferred- though not required). ## Salary The salary for the Senior Counsel- Trademarks position is competitive and commensurate with experience. ## Benefits Kraft Heinz offers a comprehensive benefits program to their employees.
