A law firm seeks a Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney for their Boston, MA location.

 

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in handling intellectual property matters, including patent and/or trade secret litigation, and counseling clients on ongoing matters.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property litigation cases, including patent and/or trade secret disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and client counseling.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client management.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on intellectual property matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to a State Bar is required.
  • Strong academic credentials in law and undergraduate coursework are highly valued.
  • Undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with intellectual property matters, including patent and/or trade secret litigation.
  • A strong work ethic, excellent leadership skills, and action-oriented interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility for client matters.
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound legal and business knowledge in working on a broad spectrum of cases and counseling clients with respect to ongoing matters.

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a State Bar.

  • Litigation experience in intellectual property matters.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
