Senior Privacy Counsel The candidate will assist in the continued development and improvement of all aspects Global Privacy Program (ongoing compliance monitoring, record keeping, data transfers and processing, certifications and documentation, policies, training, etc). Work collaboratively with Product and Privacy Counsel to review products/features for compliance with privacy laws, conduct privacy impact assessments and develop solutions to privacy risks or violations that do not detract from business goals. Help support projects designed to maintain awareness throughout the organization of approach to privacy and commitment to its Trust brand. Inform members and the community on privacy and data security-related issues. Work with commercial teams to ensure third party vendors comply with all relevant privacy laws and help guide audits of such vendors where necessary. Analyze existing and new legislative and regulatory developments to ensure that understands and remains compliant with evolving requirements. Develop content to communicate to members and enterprise customers approach to privacy and data protection. Should have 6+ years' relevant experience with a focus in privacy. Should have J.D. and admission to California Bar or the ability to practice in-house in California. Should preferably have CIPP certified. Experience working in the field of privacy and a passion for the issue is plus. In-house experience at a multinational, consumer-facing technology company is strongly preferred. Experience interfacing with state/federal agencies and international regulatory bodies helpful.
