Staff Attorney The candidate will review and respond to administrative complaints filed by employees with the EEOC or related state agency. Management of employment related litigation including management of outside counsel handling employment litigation, discovery drafting and management, and attending mediations and trials when appropriate. Management of issues related to reserving for employment claims and litigation. Provide legal advice and do appropriate research related to issues involving the employer/employee relationship. Management of issues related to third party involvement in the employer/employee relationship. Provide legal advice and assistance to the corporation regarding existing contract administration, requirements, amendments, re-negotiations and terminations thereby managing commercial and real estate legal exposures. Legal research as assigned relating to pending or potential litigation, corporate governance and compliance with legal standards and existing law. Drafting of standardized contracts and agreements for general use by others within the corporation (real estate leases, non-disclosure agreements, third party indemnity agreements, and employment separation agreements). Assist the Deputy General Counsel when needed in managing other litigation, discovery, mediations and trials. Provide legal advice and guidance to departments within the corporation on special projects, as needed. (Records management, imaging, retention, litigation holds). Must have JD from an ABA accredited law school. Active and in good standing with at least one State Bar required. Should have 1-5 years of legal experience. Experience preferred in one or more of the following: Employment law; Real estate law; Contract drafting and negotiations.
