Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Provide general administrative support to all members of P&C Legal, including: Prepare routine to moderately complex correspondence, memoranda, agendas, reports, etc. Facilitate logistics such as scheduling meetings, conference rooms, and conference calls. Collect, compile, analyze and/or prepare moderately complex information to be included in documents, reports, presentations, etc. Make travel arrangements and prepare expense reports. Perform administrative functions such as answer incoming phone calls; photocopy and scan documents; file documents in P&C Legal’s document management system; open, sort and distribute mail; monitor P&C Legal email boxes; order supplies, etc. Support other members of P&C Legal. Handle summons and complaints, subpoenas and certified mail sent to P&C Legal. Circulate, file and index minutes and other corporate actions. Assist on corporate licensing matters such as maintaining the licensing database. Perform other duties as assigned, including doing some project work, as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 3+ years of previous office experience in a detail-oriented position is preferred. Must have a helpful attitude and proven success in building and maintaining effective business relationships and be willing to establish excellent interpersonal relationships with all members of P&C Legal. Excellent communication skills, including being able to communicate openly and effectively with individuals at all levels and departments within the Company. Willingness to learn Company and P&C Legal business systems and processes. Must possess excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills.
