Bilingual Assistant The candidate will involves reception and office management work (answering phones, scheduling, filing, organizing), case management, and interpretation. Will involve in working directly on cases: filling out forms for clients, gathering evidence to support claims made in court, putting together evidence packets for the attorney, translating for clients during appointments, working with clients to get police reports, and coordinating with therapists and medical practitioners. Other responsibilities include writing letters to clients and translating client declarations. Strong English language skills and competency in English/Spanish translation are important.Strong English and Spanish language skills (verbal and written) is essential. A bachelor's degree or some college experience, paralegal certificate is ideal. An interest in serving immigrant populations is essential. Strong communication and organizational skill is essential. Must be a bilingual (English/Spanish) legal assistant to support the attorney in many functions of her single-attorney practice.
