Senior Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for assisting Operations Counsel with the review and drafting of contracts, legal research and general legal work. The Senior Paralegal reports to the Chief Administrative Lawyer and may partner with HR, IT, Internal Audit, hospitals, physicians and others as needed. Will assist Chief Administrative Lawyer and Operations Counsel with drafting and reviewing contracts, amendments, terminations and correspondence. Receive notification of U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claims and hospital/employee litigation matters; report matters to Employment Practice Liability (EPL) Insurance and appropriate parties; calendar deadlines; and draft appropriate response to such claims. Maintain, organize, track and manage Company's contract management system across multiple markets; provide training relating to its efficient and effective use by other Company employees. Maintain database to track approval process for all corporate and hospital contracts and physician employment agreements. Collect and maintain Legal Department's physical and electronic files; maintain legal file room and off-site storage. Act as a liaison between and among Operations Counsel, Corporate personnel, hospitals and physicians. Assist with due diligence projects. Support the General Counsel, the Chief Administrative Lawyer, Operations Counsel and other members of the Legal Department with projects, initiatives and other matters, as needed.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience directly supporting law firm attorneys or corporate law department counsel in a transactional practice. Prior corporate healh care experience, in or outside of the legal department is strongly preferred. Must have comprehensive knowledge of general legal formalities and processes. Must have agile computer skills and high-performing proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must have stellar organization skills. Paralegal Certificate is required. Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred.
