Associate General Counsel - Care Delivery & Management
The candidate should be a health care lawyer. Practice will focus on the critical and dynamic intersection between care management, care delivery, pharmacy and our government programs lines of business (Medicare and Medicaid), partnering with the business to successfully develop, drive and accomplish strategic and general initiatives, while counseling on a variety of business, operational, contractual and regulatory matters. Should have Juris Doctor degree. Should have License to practice law in the state in which the role is located, or the eligibility and ability to become licensed in that state (whether through examination, motion or the in-house counsel program) within six months of employment. Should have 8-10 years of practice, with at least 5-8 years’ experience focusing on health care/managed care issues. Should have experience and accomplishments in at least one of the following domains: provider/payor arrangements; health care management/clinical legal issues; or pharmacy/drug matters. Should have experience successfully engaging with state or federal regulators on health care/managed care matters. Experience with managed care (payor, provider or adjacent) business operations. Experience with the managed care regulatory environment. Experience with health care laws, regulations and other standards affecting payors, providers and other entities (e.g. PBMs). Experience with Medicare or Medicaid Issues is preferred.
