The candidate will join Homelessness Prevention program, which focuses on eviction defense litigation and trial work. Will assist on jury trials, general pre-trial litigation, case assessment, depositions, discovery, and general advocacy on behalf of our clients seeking to avoid eviction and homelessness. Also be participating in other projects related to improving housing rights for low-income tenants. Must have excellent communication skills. Must have ability to build trust and rapport with low income tenants. Ability to assume responsibility quickly and work independently is required. Should have ability to use good judgment, multitask, and meet deadlines. First rate negotiation skills needed. Strong Spanish language skills required.
