Risk Program Manager The candidate should have degree in Law, Paralegal studies, Risk Management or Business/Public Administration to serve in the capacity of Risk Program Manager for a public utility providing electric, water, wastewater, gas and fiber optic services to businesses and residents of the City of Fort Pierce. Experience in Risk and/or Contract Management, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro is needed for success in this role. As a member of the Finance department under the direction of the Director of Financial Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for risk management activities that will mitigate organizational risk through the effective and precise processing of insurances and contracts. Serves as a liaison between departments and vendors, insurance consultants, attorneys, insurance providers and the public. There is a heavy focus on preparing, reviewing, analyzing and revising contracts to ensure completeness and compliance with policies and procedures. Manages liability insurance claims and follows-up as needed to expedite the settlement and/or payment of claims and minimize cost. Position requires considerable knowledge of insurance, indemnification and contractual risk management techniques, as well as contract law and applicable office practices and procedures. Must possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to secure effective working relationships with Department Heads, staff, public officials, representatives of other organizations and the public.
