Assistant General Counsel The candidate will prepare reports to the City Civil Service Commission (‘CCSC’) regarding the legal basis for the disqualification of candidates from positions in the civil service and will represent the agency at hearings before the CCSC. May serve as liaison to the NYC Law Department on litigation brought against the agency in the areas of personnel and civil service law; may monitor and respond to EEO complaints filed with federal, state and local human rights agencies; and may research various legal issues relating to personnel and civil service law. Must have admission to the New York State Bar. Should have 1+ year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state Bar or Six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne (30086). Must remain Members of the New York State Bar in good standing. Should have 1+ year of experience at Assignment Level I or 2+ years of comparable legal experience subsequent to admission to the bar, in the areas of law related to the assignment.
