ProfileIn-House Title: Legal Assistant The candidate will attend and report on court appearances; Will assist with answering calls. Assist with updates to public website and social media (e.g. Twitter, data analytics, social media analytics, SEO). Scanning, photocopying and other administrative duties. Assist with preparation and editing of press releases. Assist with preparation of reports and public testimony (e.g. research, writing, graphic design). Assist with development of prevention campaigns and public service announcements. Attend and report on hearings and trials conducted by attorneys. Assist with management of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) training schedule, registration, and certificates; develop and prepare materials for new CLE courses. Assist in reviewing and copying existing course materials for upcoming lectures. Administrative responsibilities related to CLE courses and agency accreditation. Assist with updating of office Legal Manuals. Assist with organizing and running college and law school internship programs. If appropriate, assist with legal research and writing assignments and statutory analysis.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have B.A./B.S. Degree. Some legal training or current law school student is preferred. Should have strong writing and proof-reading skills; intermediate Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, chart creation, filtering); familiarity with WordPress, PowerPoint, Adobe Create Cloud and multimedia is preferred. Experience in website management, public awareness campaigns and/or marketing campaigns, and project coordination and management is essential.
