Arlington office of our client seeks litigation attorney with 1-4 years of experience and/or training. The candidate will communicate with clients, witnesses, expert witnesses, consultants, opposing counsels, and other third parties effectively. Will prioritize and respond to client and court needs. Respond to clients by the next business day. Build a good rapport with clients, manage and maintain appropriate client expectations. Maintain case information electronically, including emails, time entries, documents, notes, messages. Consistently draft well written and well thought out letters, briefs, motions, contracts, pleadings, and memoranda. Keep current and accurate time records daily. Use appropriate care to ensure that legal and factual issues relevant to the cases are handled and properly explored. Be prepared, on time, and argue effectively for clients at hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, arbitrations. Timely and effectively respond to demands, motions, and deadlines, as well as any other deadlines included in a case. Identify and analyze incoming cases and complex legal issues and determine course of action. Negotiate effectively. Electronically review and redact documentation provided by client, as needed. Move cases forward by timely scheduling and daily review of all incoming documents, emails, and requests. Meet with potential new clients for case acquisition and maintain all records electronically. Participate in monthly marketing meetings and events. Prepare blog posts as assigned. Manage select support staff for department and case needs. Attend and participate in team meetings. Maintain high degree of professionalism that embodies firm values in all settings; and maintain positive outlook on work, tasks, and with other employees. Must have experience with temporary orders hearings, protective order hearings, divorce, SAPCR, and child support hearings and trials.
