Job Overview
A boutique commercial litigation law firm is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join its team. The firm handles a range of commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court and advises non-bank commercial finance companies on corporate and regulatory compliance. This position offers a remote work opportunity, with the expectation of occasional court appearances in New York City and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of litigation experience, with a preference for commercial litigation experience.

Duties
- Manage commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.
- Handle court appearances and filings in state and federal court in New York.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
- Advise clients on corporate and regulatory compliance matters.
- Ensure timely communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for commercial litigation experience.
- Must be admitted to practice law in New York.
- Ability to independently manage cases from start to finish.
- Experience with disclosure regulations and regulatory compliance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be local to New York, as occasional in-person court appearances are required.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admitted to practice law in New York.
Skills
- Strong commercial litigation experience.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
