ProfileCorporate Transactional Associate Attorney The candidate should have 3-5 years of significant exposure to mergers and acquisitions involving private equity and both private and public companies, preferably with a nationally-recognized law firm. The M&A practice in D.C. represents various middle-market private equity funds as well as aerospace & defense, technology, healthcare and industrial companies, with a cross-border focus on European companies (primarily in Italy). Candidates should have experience with joint venture agreements, basic securities matters, complex commercial agreements and general corporate matters. The associate must be comfortable having substantial responsibility on deals, drafting and negotiating complex documents, working with a diverse range of industries, and interacting with clients, outside advisors and other firm practice groups. The ability to “take ownership” of projects and to interact and work with clients, outside advisors, other team members and firm practice groups, is essential. Top academics and excellent writing skills are required. Must be admitted to practice or eligible to waive-in to the District of Columbia bar.
