A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Counsel level attorney to join its Trusts & Estates Department in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in high net worth estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and drafting wills and trust agreements. This role involves providing counsel and representation in post-mortem trust and estate settlement matters, as well as navigating federal transfer taxes and California probate administration.

Duties:

  • Provide counsel and representation in estate and trust administration matters.
  • Draft wills, trust agreements, and other estate planning documents.
  • Collaborate with trustees, executors, beneficiaries, and financial institutions.
  • Guide clients on tax reporting and the administration of estate assets.
  • Ensure compliance with governing estate plan documents and relevant laws.

Requirements:

  • Experience with high net worth estate and tax planning.
  • Strong background in estate and trust administration and post-mortem matters.
  • Admission to the California Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California Bar Association.
