Paralegal, Legal Support The candidate will perform and deliver on routine and non-routine assignments for the Investment Team of the Corporate Law Section of firm's Legal Department. Will assist with firm's Financial Group’s purchase of Private Placement Investments. Coordinate the closing of Private Placement Investments from a purchaser’s perspective (not borrower/issuer): Proof promissory notes and purchaser schedule information; Review revised documents to confirm dates, coupon rates and amounts; Identify substantive changes in revised documents for final review by attorneys; Coordinate signature pages for closing; Monitor funding process; and Maintain electronic closing files. Assist with amendments and consents. Prepare documentation for purchase or sale; and Act as liaison with investment banker and coordinate closing. Coordinate exchange of information and document drafts with counterparties; and Update internal reference and compliance charts. Prepare subscription documents; and Review/prepare basic Nondisclosure Agreements. Manage documents in electronic document management system. Manage digital databases and compliance repositories. Monitor potential securities class action filings as investor. Create and maintain firm's LEI numbers. Coordinate Know Your Customer documentation. Apply expanded knowledge obtained from the role in increasingly complex situations and continue to acquire more knowledge to apply in expanding role. Support and promote change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives. Deliver routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meet deadlines appropriately. Research, retrieve, and organize company records in accordance with the procedures. Handle and respond appropriately to sensitive, confidential information. Obtain needed increasingly complex information by communicating effectively with internal/external stakeholders while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. Coordinate and arrange meetings and events including setup for team meetings. Prepare and distribute documents and material for staff and other meetings. Prepare budget spreadsheets. Maintain calendars, schedules, appointments and supplies. Coordinate travel-related activities and process expense reports if required. Make a positive contribution as demonstrated by making suggestions for improvement and learning new skills, procedures and processes. Perform other duties as required.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have High School diploma or minimum Associate’s Degree in lieu of experience (Minimum Required). Undergraduate degree is preferred. Must have 2+ years of paralegal experience. Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
