Litigation Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Maintaining and managing attorney calendars. E-Filing. Drafting and responding to written discovery. Obtaining, compiling and analyzing documentation of damages (such as medical records,bills and loss of income documents). Coordinating and assisting with preparation of depositions and mediations. Scheduling hearings. Serving defendants. Drafting legal documents/pleadings. Provide back-up administrative assistance to fellow employees.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: High School Diploma. 1 year's experience preferred. Legal experience may be substituted for education. Demonstrates strong and accurate calendaring experience and ability to manage deadlines. Must have strong work ethic and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact. Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft office. Must be detailed oriented. Must have the ability to manage time and multitask effectively and display problem-solving skills by developing methods or approaches to getting the work done. Must have the ability to handle multiple cases at the same time and prioritize effectively in a deadline driven environment.
