Duties

• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with paralegals and other staff to prepare cases for trial
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation
• Stay current on changes in family law and relevant legal precedents
• Participate in community outreach and educational events related to family law

Requirements

• Proven experience in family law, particularly in trial work
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar
• Good standing with the Illinois State Bar Association
