Federal Public Defender The candidate represents indigent persons charged with criminal offenses in the United States District Court and provides appellate representation in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Must have some criminal trial experience, preferably more than 5+ years of experience, as well as excellent oral advocacy and solid legal research and writing skills. A working knowledge of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines is a plus. Should expect to defend the full range of federal criminal offenses, including guns, drugs, child pornography, white collar, and immigration crimes. Must be members in good standing of a state Bar
