Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking two highly qualified mid-level Associate Attorneys to join its nationally recognized Health Care Practice Group in Chicago. This position is suited for attorneys with 2-4 years of transactional and regulatory experience in health care law, providing an opportunity to work with a diverse client base in the global health care sector.

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Duties:

  • Represent clients across various health care sectors, including hospitals, health care systems, academic medical centers, physician groups, payors, and medical device manufacturers.
  • Counsel clients on a wide range of legal issues affecting the health care industry.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity deals.
  • Provide guidance on complex regulatory and compliance matters, including government audits and investigations.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in health care law, with a focus on transactional and regulatory matters.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory issues, including the False Claims Act, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA/HITECH, managed care contracting, and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
  • Experience representing health care institutions and businesses in legal matters.
  • Proven ability to manage a variety of health care-related cases and transactions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar admission in the state of Illinois or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of health care regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong academic credentials with a proven track record in health care law.
  • Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills.
