Litigation Paralegal Duties: Communicating with clients, judicial assistants, other attorneys and their staff; Preparing legal documents, correspondence, trial exhibits, and presentation materials for hearings and mediations; Maintaining case files (electronic and paper files); Providing litigation support to multiple attorneys; Retrieving medical, insurance, employment, pharmaceutical records and preparing medical chronologies and summaries; Preparing discovery responses and assembling, redacting and producing client documents; Retaining experts and retrieving impeachment materials; and Scheduling CMEs, depositions and mediations as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 5+ years’ litigation and trial experience in the insurance defense field; Familiarity with case management software, including but not limited to Client Profiles, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Perfect Law; Excellent writing and communication skills; Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedures as well as Federal and Local Rules of the Middle District of Florida; The ability to work well in a teamwork driven environment managing fluctuating priorities and deadlines; and Strong organizational skills and working knowledge of medical terms.
