Attorney Responsibilities: Provide creative and proactive counseling on a broad range of complex legal, business and policy issues for engineering and business clients engaged in implementing strategy. Draft and negotiate a variety of legal agreements in coordination with business development and engineering teams, including development, licensing and collaboration agreements and intellectual property acquisitions. Partner with engineering and regulatory affairs teams to develop policies and best practices related to legal and regulatory issues that affect the business. Build strong client relationships and become a trusted advisor to the business. Drive process improvements, as necessary.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have a JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school and 4+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. We also require outstanding academic credentials, excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service. Experience with product development, software licensing and other commercial contracts involving the acquisition and exploitation of technology and IP will be valuable. Collaborate well with colleagues and be effective in managing projects across organizational boundaries to drive results. Familiarity with open source software, privacy and copyright law is preferred.
