Manager, Due Diligence
Responsible for: Ensures verification of financial information and determines the financial condition of company and Infiniti dealers having a commercial lending relationship with company's Motor Acceptance Corporation and/or Infiniti Financial Services (NMAC/IFS). Supervises the due diligence process and identification of potential dealer defaults of wholesale agreements. Ensures deception detection, evidence collection, and fraud investigation. Maintains consistency in procedures and reporting of the due diligence function. Utilizes staff and technology resources to identify potential losses to NMAC/IFS commercial loan accounts. Job functions include: Determines, plans, staffs and arranges due diligence reviews of those dealers having a commercial lending relationship with NMAC/IFS. Reviews the procedures and reports generated by the due diligence staff for accuracy and consistency. Maintains and utilizes the dealer evaluation report which ranks dealers according to their financial condition. Provides reports and recommendations to credit committee regarding dealers not meeting NMAC/IFS minimum capitalization requirements. Provides financial input on commercial loan requests. Analyzes trends in industry, floored, and non-floored dealerships to enhance the department's effectiveness in identifying weaknesses and opportunities. Has nonexempt through journey-level exempt subordinates or contractors. Supervises and provides leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development; interviews and selects unit employees; plans and evaluates employee performance; recommends merit increases, transfers and promotions; counsels and disciplines employees as necessary; recommends termination when appropriate; and monitors time and attendance of subordinates.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have an advanced degree or professional certification requiring formal education beyond college (e.g. M.A., M.S., C.P.A., J.D.). Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products. Should have 5+ years of directly related professional level Credit experience. Should have 2+ years in a full supervisory role, providing leadership, coaching, guidance and training and contributing to staff development. Should have advanced knowledge of dealer floorplan and commercial loan origination, funding and management. General knowledge of fraud detection. Basic knowledge of bankruptcy laws and legal enforcement of default covenants and collateral liquidation. General knowledge of the automotive industry. Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. Strong investigative, deception detection and evidence collection skills.
