Assistant General Counsel The candidate responsibilities will include: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients and vendors; Reviewing requests for proposals; Providing legal counsel to management related to contractual provisions and client requests; Assisting in drafting company policies; Acting on behalf of the General Counsel as directed by the General Counsel. Reviewing work of contracts paralegals. Must have BS / BA degree or Equivalent Work Experience. Should have JD degree and licensed to practice law in one or more relevant jurisdictions. Should have 4+ years of relevant experience. Ability to write clearly and effectively in business and legal correspondence and reports is needed. General familiarity of the insurance industry is must. General familiarity with legal aspects of data security is essential. General familiarity with privacy rights (knowledge of HIPAA would be a plus).
