Logistics Management Specialist, GS 9 Duties : Use daily Material Requirements Planning program exception messages to determine depot material requirements in order to meet constantly changing program production schedules. Maintain overall control of material procurement activities for each assigned program while maintaining budget thresholds. Monitor on hand inventory and requisition quantities to prevent excess material inventory and coordinates action to retain material for ongoing or future program requirements when applicable. Perform functions that include Material Requirements Planning exception message review and execution, Government Purchase Card (GPC) buys, contracting activities, and Commander's Critical Item Report (CCIR) tracking. Initiate emergency buys for unavailable parts and materials required for the repair of aircraft and/or the manufacture of aircraft components via (GPC). Update and maintains the (CCIR) in support of critically needed parts required to prevent work stoppages, and monitors daily. Communicate with sources of supply and higher headquarters in order to obtain material support and accurately communicate current priorities and requirements.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification : Specialized Experience: Must have 1+ year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Monitoring on hand inventory and requisition quantities to prevent excess material inventory and coordinates action to retain material for ongoing or future program requirements; 2) Performing some of the same or similar functions that include Material Requirements Planning exception message review and execution, Government Purchase Card (GPC) buys, contracting activities, and Commander's Critical Item Report (CCIR) tracking; 3) Updating and maintaining inventory databases in support of critically needed parts to prevent work stoppages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Deadline : 04/16/2018.
