Location:

Duties:

  • Represent institutional and private lenders in real estate finance matters
  • Work on a variety of real estate transactions including affordable housing loans, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced real estate attorneys and paraprofessionals
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients including national and regional banks, private lenders, debt funds, CDFIs, and local developers
  • Engage in negotiation, drafting, and reviewing real estate financing documents
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Contribute to the firm’s ongoing business development efforts

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of real estate finance experience, with an emphasis on lender-side finance
  • Significant experience representing institutional and private lenders
  • Experience with affordable housing loans, acquisitions, dispositions, or leasing is a plus, but not required
  • California Bar admission required
  • Strong academic background, preferably from a top law school or firm with a comparable real estate practice
  • Proven ability to handle complex transactions and provide strategic advice
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively within a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • California Bar Admission

Skills:

  • Real estate finance expertise, particularly lender-side transactions
  • Negotiation and drafting skills for real estate finance documents
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
