Job Description:

**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our legal/risk management team. This role will provide proactive and strategic guidance on legal issues within various internal service teams and work closely with business leaders to find practical solutions. The Corporate Counsel will also help oversee specific subject areas and support the Chief Legal Officer. This position will have significant interaction with the firm's partners, management, and all functional areas.

Responsibilities:

- Provide general counsel to the firm and strategic counsel on discrete subject areas such as M&A and contract review
- Support the firm's quality control mission
- Work alongside the Chief Legal Officer on strategic initiatives
- Monitor privacy laws and data security requirements for the protection of confidential client information
- Manage the efficient use of outside counsel
- Develop an understanding of business risks and use this knowledge to manage risk and find creative legal solutions
- Provide advice on laws, regulations, and professional standards in the accounting profession
- Draft, revise, and negotiate professional service agreements and other contracts with clients, vendors, and third parties

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate degree
- 10+ years of experience
- Admission to state bar in good standing in a state where the firm has an office
- Sound business judgment, strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, flexibility, and superior writing and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Specific experience in professional liability claims, employment law, intellectual property, bankruptcy law, or M&A
- Knowledge of accounting, tax, and financial regulatory matters
