Commercial Counsel, Ads
Responsibilities: Contract drafting, negotiation, and advisory responsibilities for Meta’s (and its subsidiaries’) measurement, advertising, and platform integrity teams. Provide legal and strategic business advice to help develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to the relationships with key partners and the commercial aspects of the key products and programs. Commercial transaction support for other departments as required. Administration and resolution of legal issues and contract interpretation matters that arise in existing commercial relationships. Willingness and ability to manage numerous deals, meet tight deadlines, and work extended hours when necessary to complete projects.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state Bar. 4+ years of relevant technology transactions experience, working with the internet, mobile, or other technology companies, either in-house and/or at a law firm. Experience working with technology deals (technology licensing, product development, platform integrations, etc.). Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters. Proven experience in drafting and negotiation along with business judgment and strategic thinking. Hardworking, well organized, and experienced managing numerous projects simultaneously, under deadline pressure, and with minimal supervision. Interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with online (desktop or mobile) advertising. Experience with privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, including those relevant for social media and Internet companies. Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies.
