Duties:

• Represent clients in divorce and family law cases, including child custody, spousal support, and property division.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding family law issues and divorce proceedings.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and discovery.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients in court hearings and trials.
• Maintain detailed case files and ensure timely updates on case progress.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals, including paralegals and support staff, to ensure efficient case management.
• Stay current with changes in family law and legal trends to provide clients with informed advice.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience practicing family law, with a focus on divorce and related matters.
• Proven track record of handling family law cases, including litigation and settlement negotiations.
• Strong understanding of family law principles, including child custody, child support, and alimony.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle a high caseload while maintaining a high standard of client service.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey.
• Active membership in the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Westlaw and legal research tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with family law software and case management tools.
• Experience with mediation and conflict resolution techniques is a plus.
