Family Law Legal Internship The intern will interview clients. Intern will prepare client and witness affidavits. Prepare custody, divorce, guardianship, child support, and protective order filings with Maryland state courts. Assist with preparation of discovery requests and responses. Assist with hearing and trial preparation. Research and draft briefs, memoranda, and other documents. Provide administrative support to family law attorney with pending cases as needed. Should have Enrollment in law school. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills is required. Commitment to public interest law is required. Language skills desired, particularly Spanish. Completion of courses in Family Law, Evidence, and/or Trial and Advocacy preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be available for at least 10 hours/week.
