Paralegal - Employment Law The candidate will provide day-to-day support for employment litigation and advice matters. Will also support the litigation team with general litigation across the Santander entities. Assists attorneys in managing arbitrations, litigation, audits and investigations, including proceedings before administrative agencies. Reviews discovery, deposition, trial, and hearing instruments. Performs regulatory and compliance research and analysis. Reviews federal, state, and local rules concerning procedure. Documents regulatory and compliance issues. Collects data and prepares reports. Assists in the preparation of legal documents to support attorneys. Organizes files and databases. Collaborates with human resources, IT, and business line partners to support the collection of documents, files, and other information. Supports management by responding to routine matters and questions. Monitors industry developments. Assists with administrative functions. Should have 3+ years of law firm or in house experience supporting employment litigation. Must have ability to apply laws and governmental regulations with support of attorneys. Should have strong PC skills, particularly MS Office suite of applications. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with the banking industry and/or benefits law is a plus.
