Associate Attorney The candidate will provide partner(s) with assistance in the preparation for and closing of various real estate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Will work directly with attorneys and clients during closings and corporate transactions. Handles all real estate related legal issues, including transfers of titles and deeds, construction, mortgage concerns, and zoning. Provides legal advice to an organization, prepares resolutions and forms, and participates in major legal actions. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to the real estate partner and/or practice group leader.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have 5-8 years of experience. Must have substantial experience working with private equity funds in connection with acquisitions and financing of real estate assets and institutional lenders that originate loans, preferably with lenders. Must have business experience that can be converted into client relationships. Substantial experience running transactions with minimal oversight is required. Outstanding academic credentials and law firm experience are required. Must be admitted to the California Bar.
