Legal Assistant The candidate will do preparation of pleadings including to, motions, subpoenas, notices, hearings, and requests for production, Answers and trial document. Will work on preparation of rough draft discovery, discovery reports and coordination with clients. Coordination/scheduling of meetings, hearings, appointments, and depositions. Other required duties include providing information to claims professionals and insureds, composing and typing routine correspondence, reading and routing of incoming mail, taking calls from attorneys, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and courts. High school diploma is essential. A.A. is preferred, B.A./B.S., and/or Paralegal Certificate is a plus.. Should have 3+ years’ experience. Additional relevant experience may substitute for academic degrees is essential. Experience in handling files in civil litigation is essential. Experience with Time Matters is a plus. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to type 60-70 wpm and must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
