Personal Injury Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal Bilingual (Spanish) Duties: Plays an important role in the Personal Injury Department. Support position to the two attorneys in the firm and is responsible for legal support, organization, scheduling and administration for the attorneys. Additional responsibilities may include; interpretation, and new client intakes (when needed). Preparation of legal documents (complaints, summons and interrogatory requests and responses. Direct contact and interaction with clients. Preparation of subpoenas, routine pleadings, deposition notices, exhibit and trial notebooks; draft and mail correspondence to clients; Schedule and organize meetings and appointments; Screen phone calls for attorney; Maintain client communications and docketing; Liaison with courts and process servers to ensure timely service/court filings; Scheduling of appointments and meetings with clients and witnesses; Maintenance and awareness of attorney’s caseloads and statutes; Organization of client database within Salesforce and NetDocs; Perform additional duties, as needed.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: 4 years' experience; with knowledge of the administration and support to a Personal Injury/Litigation Department; Proficiency in state and court rules/procedures; Ability to meet key deadlines; Excellent oral and written communication skills (client), with outside law firms, insurance carriers, medical providers and governmental agencies); Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail; High level of professionalism, integrity with positive demeanor and appearance; The ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment; Computer literate in Microsoft Suite; Adaptability to new computer software/programs; Bilingual/bicultural skills; including ability to speak, read and write Spanish fluently; Reliable and a team player; The ability to provide outstanding customer service with dignity and respect to clients. Requires a diligent self-starter who can manage their own time between standard daily tasks and multi-hour projects according to deadlines without excessive repetition and instructions. Must comply with standardized procedures, adapt to refinements in procedures and demonstrate efforts to increase office efficiency.
