ProfileParalegal The candidate will provide high level of administrative support. Assist and supports the department with litigation research and due diligence. Researches and analyzes law sources and legal codes. Prepares legal documents, such as leases, contracts, briefs, appeals, etc. Assist in filing materials such as motions, memorandum, pleadings and briefs in various court systems. Understands technical legal terminology and experience with Lease Agreements. Prepare and process standard legal documents including subpoenas, contracts, summonses, insurance claims, licenses, and permits. Organize and coordinate legal meetings including client interviews, hearings and depositions. Maintain schedules and calendars including court diaries. Prepare forms including accident reports, incident reports, and courtroom requests. Review and edit legal documents including but not limited to leases and contracts. Set up and maintain databases and files. Communicate verbally and in writing to answer inquiries and provide information as needed. Review and organize delivery of legal correspondence to clients, insurance companies and Attorneys. Conduct research and collate information relevant to cases. Arrange hearing dates, follow up on pending cases and file motions. Participate in the development of corporate policies, procedures and programs. Assist with the preparation and delivery of default notices. Create departmental budgets. Assist with intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents. Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents. Negotiate deals, prepare LOIs, follow up with Brokers, Landlordâ€™s and Franchisees. Assist with general contracts, Sublessees, Agreement with Landlord, and third-party agreements with vendors and suppliers. Assist with employment law concerns, and claims. Ensure compliance with trademarks, patents, intellectual property and trade secrets.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have Bachelorâ€™s degree in paralegal studies or relevant training or work experience. Should have intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and experience of relevant software applications. Knowledge of local, state and federal filing rules is required. Detail oriented and proficient in contracts, and leases is plus. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures is must. Transcription and typing skills is essential.
