Attorney The candidate will research and writing in support of prosecuting unfair labor practices; interviewing primarily non-English speaking parties and witnesses concerning alleged unfair labor practices at work sites or homes. Will engage in complex legal research and analysis; draft complaints, subpoenas, briefs and other legal documents; prepare non-English speaking witnesses for hearings and prosecute cases before administrative law judges; conduct settlement negotiations; and seek injunctive relief in superior and appellate courts throughout California. Additionally, the incumbent will provide outreach and training to stakeholders. Must have Membership in The California State Bar. Should have knowledge in: Legal research methods and performing research; legal principles and their application; scope and character of California statutory law and of the provisions of the California Constitution; principles of administrative and constitutional law; trial and hearing procedure; and rules of evidence; court procedures; administrative law and the conduct of proceedings before administrative bodies; legal terms and forms in common use; statutory and case law literature and authorities; and provisions of laws and Government Code sections administered or enforced.
