Legal Technical Writer
The candidate will research voluminous legal sources and will organize research results in order to develop material for publication. For this research, the candidate will use various online and printed resources to access legal materials. Will use law library and internet resources, including Westlaw, Lexis, etc. to find relevant information that can be used in the company’s legal presentations and publications. Track new developments in the areas related to the company’s business to regularly put together overviews of the legal updates. Translate legal contracts for the provision of goods and services, and other day-to-day business transactions from English to Russian. Draft, edit, standardize, and make changes to legal documents prepared by other staff on a wide range of issues within the company and write on a wide variety of business related matters with the Staff Attorney, including: Contracts (drafting, negotiating, performance, compliance, enforcement, translating, etc.), Intellectual property, Trademarks (registration and infringement), Tortious Interference, Licensing, Corporate Records (minutes, resolutions, Officer listings, etc.), Regulatory Compliance, Real Estate, Insurance, E-Commerce. Conduct legal research and perform writing assignments in connection with general business matters and litigation. Arrange for distribution of legal materials, recommend revisions or changes.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree in Law. Must be fluent in Russian with the ability to translate legal documents from English to Russian. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) legal databases is required. Should have ability to absorb and synthesize detailed rules/regulations. Ability to take tasks A-Z within deadline parameters is needed. Should have strong research, organizational, problem-solving, and legal writing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are must.
