Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Private Wealth Associate with 4-8 years of experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, estate and gift tax, and charitable planning. Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on sophisticated estate planning and trust administration matters.
  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Advise clients on estate and gift tax planning strategies.
  • Assist with charitable planning and foundations.
  • Manage the administration of trusts and estates, including probate matters.
  • Communicate with clients to address their legal concerns and provide updates on estate matters.
  • Coordinate with other attorneys and professionals to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Handle multiple projects, manage deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of experience in private wealth law, including estate planning, trust administration, and tax planning.
  • Prior law firm experience is required.
  • Excellent academic credentials and a strong understanding of estate and gift tax law.
  • Exceptional communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a client-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the state where the candidate will be based (IL preferred).

Skills:

  • Expertise in estate planning, trust administration, estate and gift tax planning, and charitable planning.
  • Strong drafting skills, including the ability to prepare complex legal documents.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and provide high-quality legal services.

  • Proficiency with relevant legal software and tools.
