Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Provide clerical/legal support to the lawyer. Provide clerical/legal support to the law clerk and senior paralegal. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel. Prepare case files in preparation for court. Locate and develop case relevant information. Prepare and file basic legal documents and correspondence. Answer and direct phone calls. Maintain case/office calendar. Monitor deadlines. Help ensure that the office operates at its maximum potential and an individual to assist with the day to day operations which handle.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Proven work experience as a legal assistant. Familiarity with legal procedures, protocols, and the court system is a plus. Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office is a plus. Computer literacy. Proficiency in English. Excellent secretarial and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. A team player is a must.
