Corporate - General
Legal Assistant – Corporate Duties: Support busy partners in its Corporate Law Department. Assists Corporate practice area attorneys and paralegals with a variety of assignments and projects throughout a corporate transaction. Proofreads and assists with editing documents for grammar, formatting, and typos. Assists with transaction closings and compiles closing binders. Organizes and manages all electronic and paper files. Assists paralegals with various tasks and assignments. Assist in client relations, event planning and marketing.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and other computer software programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software. Ability to navigate various electronic databases and document repositories. (i,e., data rooms, document management software). Experience with NetDocuments or other document management software.. Experience with Elite Enterprise or other time and billing software. Excellent computer trouble shooting skills.. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to deal courteously/effectively with others. Ability to work independently or in a team setting. Ability to assume progressive responsibilities. Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities. Ability to work well under pressure. Excellent proofreading and editing skills. Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating needs. Must be a team player and self-starter, who have strong Microsoft Word abilities, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized and efficient, and has the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
