Legal Assistant Duties: Primary assistant to 1-2 attorneys in several general practice areas. Arranging appointments for clients and handle routine client inquiries. Assist paralegals and practice manager with general administrative support. Complete word processing including typing memos, emails and correspondence, as well as finalize items while exercising proper grammar, punctuation, spelling and format. Maintain high level of confidentiality with all client information. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and at all functions. Assist with social media marketing of the firm. Assist with reception on the telephone and in person.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: 1-2 years' law office experience. Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Proficient using MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook. General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division. Effective verbal, written communication and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently/pro-active nature. Experience prioritizing tasks to ensure multiple deadlines are met. Good judgment and a high level of integrity at all times. Maintain professionalism with staff and clientele (a large part of this position will be customer service related; therefore the successful candidate will be able to smile and stay professional throughout all interactions with our clientele whether on phone or in person). Show consistent productivity when working independently and as a member of the team. Detail-oriented and able to multi-task/be very focused during the work day. Positive attitude and the ability to remain positive under pressure. Position requires punctual attendance, confidentiality, and a professional and courteous demeanor. Demonstrated ability to be flexible, working dynamically with often changing and demanding workload. Type minimum speed of 65 WPM with 90%+ accuracy.
