Probate / Estate / Trust Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for trust accountings and trust administrations handled throughout the office. This entails the following: Maintain individual Outlook task list; Prepare quarterly income analysis spreadsheets to determine DNI; Calculate quarterly/yearly trustee fees; Manage trust administrations for attorneys who are also the trustee; Preparation of timely trust reports on Excel; Preparation of 1041 tax returns using Lacerte tax preparation software. Should have 5+ years of experience and paralegal certication. Working knowledge of Lackner (estate and trust administration software) a plus. Familiarity with IRS Form 706 and portability a plus. Working knowledge of the estate administration and probate process necessary as many of these trusts are funded through estates. A working knowledge of sophisticated estate and tax planning is highly recommended. Familiarity and a working knowledge of Merge Forms is recommended.
