Conflicts Analyst The candidate lead role is processing and analyzing all conflict check requests in connection with new business matters and lateral candidates. The Conflicts Analyst will also perform preliminary review of the conflicts reports associated with new business matters where appropriate, manage and preserve the integrity of the conflicts database and assist with other projects as needed. Performs conflicts checks for new business matters and lateral candidates using conflicts software. Analyzes database results to identify conflicts of interest and presents this material in concise and comprehensive reports to Conflicts Attorneys, Firm Attorneys, and select Firm Personnel. Enters information obtained during the conflicts clearance process in the conflicts database documenting the resolution of conflicts and any waivers, where necessary. Under the direction of the Conflicts Manager and the Firm's Office of General Counsel, helps facilitate the resolution of potential conflicts of interest through written and oral communication with affected attorneys. Responsible for managing and maintaining the data stored in the conflicts database. Demonstrates strong analytical skills by compiling comprehensive reports of clients and matters as directed by firm Management. Provides excellent and timely customer service to all firm Attorneys and Personnel.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have College degree. Candidates with a Paralegal Certificate are a plus. Progressive experience in New Business Intake, Conflicts or a related field in law firms is a plus. Must possess the ability to professionally and regularly communicate in both written and verbal form with attorneys, staff and clients. Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Excel; Elite and Intapp Open software experience a plus. Should have knowledge of conflict of interest principles in order to define relationships and related parties. Must exercise good judgment to determine if issues should be escalated to the Conflicts Manager. Must possess excellent organizational, analytical and written skills. Should have knowledge of Dun and Bradstreet, Hoovers, Lexis/Westlaw, and/or Pacer, and the ability to interpret the data produced by those systems.

Pros : Flexible work options including the ability to work from home. Required amount of billable hours is comparable to other firms this size.
Cons : There isn't much mentorship going on or defined procedures related to advancements and raises which can leave you feeling adrift and completely alone. This place has a rather prevailing sexism problem.
