Paralegal, Real Estate The candidate will primarily facilitate various contracts, investor applications and other transactional aspects of the Black Creek 1031 Exchange program, which allows accredited investors to exchange real property for interests in a Delaware Statutory Trust as part of a 1031 exchange. Will coordinate various aspects of Black Creek 1031 Exchange program. Facilitate real estate closings to place existing Black Creek properties into the Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) program structure. Execute all aspects of individual investor closings. Facilitate related correspondence with qualified exchange intermediary, internal business team members, and outside counsel. Coordinate all necessary communications with investors and their financial advisors. Track important dates and deadlines. Facilitate exchange of DST interests into operating partnership units at such time as the applicable options are exercised. Handle investor communications post-investment, including facilitating questions and answers. Review leases and lease abstracts. Maintain and update various databases for real estate related matters. Coordinate background and credit checks on subject individuals. Coordinate litigation and background searches; summarize results. Assist with other aspects of real estate and corporate due diligence. A Bachelorâ€™s Degree or equivalent required. Should have 3+ years of direct experience as a commercial real property closer, bank real estate loan closer, or title closer. Experience specifically with 1031 exchanges, legal assistance, or paralegal a plus. Must have working knowledge of real estate transactions and related documentations. Extensive experience using Microsoft Word and Excel required. Deadline: April 30, 2018.
