Civil Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: Assisting Paralegal Manager in training and overseeing other paralegals; Ensuring that paralegal’s work is timely and adheres to firm expectations; Working with multiple attorneys regarding their assigned paralegal’s management of case files; Drafting legal documents and providing research and analytical support when needed; Performing legal & non-legal administrative tasks when needed.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Paralegal certificate from an ABA-Approved program or a bachelor’s degree and compliance with CA Business & Professions Code §§6450 ©(3) relating to an Attorney Attestation; 1-3+ continuous years as a civil litigation paralegal; previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred; Advance proficiency with calendaring, drafting discovery, motions and other common legal documents, state & federal court procedures, e-filing and performing legal research; Exceptional organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills; Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; Ability to independently manage cases from inception to completion; Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Westlaw.
